There's greater use of social media for travel and accommodation than ever before. Travel websites and reviewers are plentiful. Most guests want to write a review too - either in the guest book or online- and post photos. While this enables us to have greater coverage, it also means that the highest quality standard must be achieved all the time in order for modern travel reviews to be high, especially as guests expect increasingly high standards all the time.
Since we started Sieku Glamping, we have had extremely positive feedback and reviews through all forums and channels - from domestic and international travellers alike. We've also had a lot of inputs from guests (especially in the early days) on how we could get even better, and we're proud to say that we reckon we have acted on all advice given to us.
We've been a consecutive five-star superhost on Airbnb since we joined in mid-2017. We're now on TripAdvisor and ratings are high, as they are on other travel portals. “Our group had pretty high expectations for this property....and they were all surpassed! The road from Nairobi was bumpy, but the rest of the stay was smooth as silk. The staff thought of everything, preparing a welcoming campsite and cozy tents. During the day, we explored the flora and fauna of the region. At night, we sat by the campfire and listened to lions moaning in the meadow below. There was even a close encounter with elephants. A truly unique, special place.”
